Sweet picture book from Japan about a Mama Bear teaching her baby bear to be self sufficient and catch salmon. I am not sure that it has enough characters and details to be developed into a story to retell. Young children would like it. It belongs in my personal collection. Read full review

This is a short picturebook about a mother and baby Japanese brown bear. They go hunting salmon at night, and both catch some, and then the baby think's the moon's reflection on the water is a giant fish. It isn't, but he dreams of giant moon fish anyway. Read full review
