This is an excellent book that details the history of these magnificent homes, skillfully weaving in the history of the families that have been fortunate enough to be able to own them.
The book was
well researched and much of the family history was retrieved from living descendants of those families.
All in all, I enjoy this work so much, that I actively collect these books in order to be able to gift them to like minded people.
