I've been searching for this book for years. Thanks to repeated Internet searching, I discovered the title. It was my childhood favorite (early 70s). I always knew where it was shelved in the Phoenix Public Library (main). If I wasn't checking it out that day, I was sitting cross- legged on the carpet reading and enjoying every page.
We moved north and I lost touch with that branch. Though I moved on to other books, I never forgot this one.
I'm so glad I found it. Now, if I can only get a copy...
