About the author (2002)

Kulbhushan Jain is a professor of architecture and urban design at the school of architecture, Ahmedabad. A practicing architect, his interests include writing, conservation, and research. He is also a consulting architect with the National Institute of Design, Indian National for Art and Cultural Heritage, and Mehrangarh Museum Trust, Jodhpur. He has been a recepient of several awards for design and education. Minakshi Jain is an architect and a visiting professor at the school of architecture, Ahmedabad, where she is also a consultant for urban design projects. Her practice includes residences, interiors, and heritage projects. She is currently involved in a major project for the conservation of Nagaur Fort. Along with design awards, she has also received awards for conservation efforts.
