This is a very practical book for leaders serious about bringing change to their organizations. The word 'Theory' in the title of this book is a misnomer. The book is full of real life actual case histories.
I found these case histories very helpful as they made it easy to understand and implement the ZYX Change Method to cause much neede change in my company.
I bought 211 copies of this book and gave them to all managers in my division. Most of us consult this book often as we face the transition to a new culture we are implementing to make our 100 year old company more competitive.
Since I am leading a change management program at my company, I have recently read all of the top rated books at Amazon on change management. I learned something from every book, but this book on Theory ZYX of change management is quite different from all other books. While other books propound someone's opinion, Theory ZYX is research based and not just an opinion. Further, like other books, it is not just soft and mushy, but the book leads the reader to believe in the concept of measuring a base line and then measuring progress. I like being able to measure as we go along the process.
NIgam Arora is a good communicator and he has illustrated each concept with statistics and real life examples. These examples make it difficult to put the book down , even though the book is on a complex and dreary subject.
Theory ZYX Change Management method is the method I have chosen for my company.
My colleagues have also read the book and reached the same conclusion that I did.
