Research shows that this so called "Mozart's Twelfth Mass" was composed by Wenzel Müller (1767-1835), and is documented in "The Mozart Compendium", edited by H. C. Robbins Landon (Thames & Hudson, London, 1990, p. 352). At this time it was lucrative for publishers to sell the work of a lesser-known composer under the name of well known names such as Haydn or Mozart.
