Page iii - The valuation definition used in the export statistics is the value at the seaport, border point, or airport of exportation. It is based on the selling price (or cost if not sold) and includes inland freight, insurance, and other charges to the port of exportation. It is sometimes difficult for an exporter to assign a valuation in accordance with this definition.
