About the author (2008)

Augustus Forrest was born, February 15, 1944, in a fairly large town in the upstate of South Carolina. An area most locals consider to be pure heaven, where you enjoy your breakfast gazing at the beautiful blue ridge mountains, and can have lunch by the seashore.Descending from a long line of Forrest's throughout the south, Including, who some in history referred to as "the Devil Forrest", the infamous civil war General, Nathan Bedford Forrest.Augustus began his technical career in the United States Navy, where he received technical schooling, as an Aviation electronics technician, also serving as a flight crew member on the C-130 Hercules. Having completed his term in the military, he gained employment as flight line Foreman, and worked for several years with Ling Tempco Vault Aerospace Systems, modifying, and upgrading military aircraft returning from Vietnam. Feeling the need for change, Augustus decided to enter the automotive industry, where he ran the entire gamete of positions, from parts manager to service manager, and even as a new, and used car salesman. Eventually starting his own business doing forensic type, electrical, and mechanical failure inspection's for automotive extended warranty companies, making decision's as to what failed, why, who, or what was at fault. Augustus still resides in the upstate of South Carolina with his wife, one daughter, and three grandchildren. Now retired he devotes most of his time to the writing of this, and other published literary work's, which includes "An Ass For Every Seat" a mildly humorous book about how not to buy the wrong car. And of course enjoys the occasional game of golf.
