UNBORN: Post Traumatic Thoughts of Loss, A Time to Mourn is the heart-rending story of one woman's grief for a child she longed for, but tragically lost. Author Niki Mylonas chronicles her explosion of emotion which manifested feelings of failure, despair, and isolation. Questioning the soul that came and 'left' her, Ms. Mylonas hits out at religion, the world, and nature itself for their cruelty, fueled by her frustration in her inability to conceive again. With time, Ms. Mylonas accepts that her 'child' had every good intension for 'touching earth' and learns the spiritual reasons for this loss that were, ultimately imperative to her personal growth. With the message that it's vital to release the 'ghosts' of the past in order to move forward, UNBORN is a healing, honest and deeply insightful account of pregnancy loss, and that such a devastating experience can create the most damaging psychological effects. Inspired by poetry, nature, music, her own intense feelings and life's complex and unpredictable challenges, Ms. Mylonas approached the writing of UNBORN as a cathartic and therapeutic form of healing, which she generously shares with the reader.
