About the author (2003)

After forty years as a financial executive, Charles Schwartz gave it all up to become a poet and a novelist. Critics lauded his first four books of poetry as ?groundbreaking? and ?thoroughly enjoyable.? Selected poems from Under My Skin, Between the Sheets, Poetry Moments, and As Rivers Flow, were also published in various Journals. The Originators, a political thriller, is his first novel. Born in New York, he graduated from NYU with an MBA in Finance, and holds a Liberal Arts undergraduate degree. He attended writing seminars at Iowa and Wisconsin Universities. He currently lives in suburban Chicago?s Highland Park, where his two adult children don't understand what their father is talking about most of the time.
