Vaughan- Sharpe is cotton candy one minute, granite the next. Her poetry is ageless. Virtually anyone can identify with something expressed in her poignant writings. Frustration, humor, authenticity, and inspiration are just a few of the items packed away in her luggage. Immerse yourself in her psychosis and you too will find yourself saying, "I know that's right!" Join her as she unpacks years of, well, jus' stuff! A hilariously cleansing experience.

About the author (2008)

Trinette Burford Vaughan-Sharpe is a native of Winton, North Carolina, a quaint historic town in Eastern North Carolina. She was always a lover of poetry and maintains that she now knows that it's 'genetic'. "My mom knew all the long Edgar Allen Poe poems from memory!", she says. "I mean every last one". A hairdresser of forty plus years, it was actually in her mid- forties that she really began writing. "Being a hairdresser and constantly listening to those soul -wrenching tales and experiencing my own traumas made me know that we all have pretty much the same insecurities and hang-ups", she states emphatically."The bottom line is, everybody wants to be loved!" A confessed hopeless romantic, Vaughan- Sharpe admits, "I've been in love all my life, I'm a closet flower child," she laughs."I have a plethora of stuff that just drives me up the wall. Here is where I simply vent... and yes, reflect..that too.. for me.. for everybody! The excess baggage is there....whether or not we admit it. We simply unpack..again...and again...and again..."

Trinette resides in Ahoskie, North Carolina with her husband, Roy, and son, T.J.
