Read Books, 2009 - Travel - 642 pages
Originally published in 1917. Being the Narrative of a Journey, Chiefly Afoot, From Panama to Buenos Aires. The illustrated contents deal with the authors journeying through South America including excursions into Bolivian wilderness, City of the Sun, Roof of Peru, Southern Ecuador, Inca Land, Quito, Cauca Valley, etc. Many of the earliest travel books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. Home Farm Books are republishing many of these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions, using the original text and artwork.
