From the author of "Storyville" and "Bed & Breakfast" comes a rich and moving novel of three Australian women carving a new life in post World War II America. Battle--herself the daughter of an Australian war bride--captures the look and feel of one of this country's most memorable eras.

Review: War Brides

User Review  - Tracy O'reilly - Goodreads

An interesting and often stark contrast between fantasy & reality. Life is often not what we bargained for & these ladies' stories certainly prove that. I enjoyed it as a book club read, but felt dissatisfied at the end. It did not wrap up well. Read full review
