About the author (2012)

She makes her home in Ashland, Oregon. She has appeared at the San Luis Obispo Poetry Festival, Bloomsbury Books in Ashland, Looking Glass Books and Broadway Books in Portland, the Sacramento Poetry Center and Cody’s Books in Berkeley. Amy has taught poetry workshops through Oregon Poetic Voices, the Oregon Poetry Association and at the Northwest Poets’ Concord. She is the Managing Editor of The Cortland Review. Her article “Social Networking and Poetry Publishing” appeared in the 2011 Poet’s Market. She sits on the boards of Chautauqua Poets & Writers and the Oregon Poetry Association. Her chapbook, The Fragile Day, was published by Spire Press in the summer of 2011. Journals that have published her work include: Cimarron Review, Cloudbank, Folio, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Linebreak, Naugatuck River Review, Painted Bride Quarterly, Pearl Magazine, Rattle, River Styx, South Dakota Review, Windfall, and Wisconsin Review. Her work has also appeared in the anthologies Eating Her Wedding Dress and Not a Muse.

Laura LeHew’s poems appear widely in publications such as Anobium, Eleven Eleven, FutureCycle: American Society: What Poet's See, PANK and Spillway Magazine. Collections include: Beauty (Tiger’s Eye Press), It’s Always Night, It Always Rains (09/12) is part of the anthology Ashes Caught on the Edge of Light: 10 Chapbooks (Winterhawk Press) and forthcoming ’13 Willingly Would I Burn (MoonPath Press). Laura received her MFA from the California College of the Arts. Laura has one husband & seven cats. As editor for Uttered Chaos she has published ten books of poetry: “Diesel Horse” by Joy L.
