What a wonderful book for someone with little well log experience. As a graduate student in geology looking to go into the oil and gas industry, this book was more helpful than other books with the basics. If you don't have much experience with well logs, I would suggest reading this book as an introduction over other books first.

This is an excellent referrence book for both beginners and long time oil personnel. Not only does it cover the basic log calculations and evaluations, but also gives the reader pertinent information regarding the viability of the reservoir in question.
