About the author (1997)

Martha Williamson As Executive Producer of the hit CBS drama Touched by an Angel, and the popular new series Promised Land, Martha Williamson is the first woman to solely executive produce two hour-long dramas simultaneously on network television.

Williamson began writing for television in 1984. Her work has been honored with such awards as the Templeton Prize, the Anti-Defamation League's Deborah Award, the Catholics in Media Associates Award, the Covenant Award, the Excellence in Media Award, the Gabriel Award, the Swiss American Faith Values Award and the prestigious Producer's Guild Nova Award.

Williamson received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College. She is a native of Denver, Colorado, and currently resides in Los Angeles.
