Fred Kaufmann, disillusioned husband of thoroughly competent Claudia, is in the midst of a classic midlife crisis. His dreams of being a celebrated film director had long ago been put aside, settling instead for marriage. Claudia, the owner of a successful vegetarian take-away has just sold out to a fast-food chain and now Fred finds himself materially successful but spiritually dissatisfied. She finds a guru, but the Guru finds Franka, their teenage daughter, irresistible. So, in attempt to wean Franka of her infatuation Fred heads to the meditation centre in the South of France, finding himself on a journey that only a hero can survive.....
