Why the Chimes RangDescribed as "the one perfect book for children" when it was first published in 1909, Why the Chimes Rang quickly became one of America's favorite Christmas books. Now, this time-honored classic, a beautiful tale that conveys the very spirit of giving, has been re-published, illustrated with full-color restorations of the original engravings, to take its place again as a cherished Christmas tradition. |

I have been reading this story on Christmas Eve for about 40 years. It is a much loved tradition throughout our family and extended family. The story is elegantly and simply told which makes it so enjoyable and powerful. While it was written as a children's story, the adults like it best. The story does not grow old.

This was one of my favorite stories that my mother read every year for Christmas. I loved how each child sacrificed so much to honor Christ.
