About the author (2007)

During Dr. Lane's childhood he was exposed to Jewish, Protestant, and Catholic religious orientations. This mixture sparked a deep interest in understanding religion and its effect on personal character. After retiring from medical practice in 1989 he has devoted energy to questions about God, the meaning of life, and effects of fundamental beliefs on outlook and actions. In this book Lane reveals his discoveries and presents this is in a fantasy setting that is easy to read, entertaining, and challenging.
