This book is a must read for all those who enjoy Carnatic music especially who has some academic interest in the lives of great masters. Mysore Vasudevachar lived almost a century (1865 - 1961) and was a disciple of Patnam Subramanya Iyer. He was the contemporary of Ramanathapuram Srinivasa Iyengar, Tiger Varadachari, and many legendary musicians during the most prolific period of Carnatic music. In this book, he portrays candidly many touching and hilarious moments in the lives of those great men.
The original of this book is in Kannada named 'Na kanda kalavidaru' and is translated in to English by his grandson Mr. Krishnamurti.
