About the author (2008)

T.L. Daniel is a native of the Shenandoah Valley Virginia. He was raised in Waynesboro until he was fifteen and then moved into the country. It was during this transition period from city life to country life that he began to write and also started to become a novice photographer. Tony moved away from the valley only long enough to serve in the Armed Forces for three years at which time he returned to raise a family. Many years later he is a proud father and Grandfather. He lives in an isolated area of Augusta County Virginia, enjoying the peace and quiet of the woods he calls home. Sit with him around the campfire and he will spin you a story, one right after the other. T.L. Daniel has been told that his job in life is to put on a happy face and to go make other people smile, a job that he loves to do. As you read his work and see his photos, you will see that he has an eye for beauty, a way with words and his life like most all others has been filled with both joy and despair. He will tell you to read it once, read it again because every word has two meanings and nothing he writes is to be taken at surface value. There is always a deeper meaning. HERE ARE A FEW EXCERPTS KNEE DEEP IN SNOW Knee deep in snow A form of flood Not cold as ice Flows my blood In heat of day This snow does melt Those warm rays On my back I felt The flood does come With the heat of day As I watch the snow Slowly melt away This snow that melts Will flow back to the sea And someday another snow storm will be. IN REMEMBERANCE Dangling for eternity Life is but a dream A lifetime is but a second A moment so it seems Life it passes oh so quickly The days they go so fast When you think it's just begun The moments at it's last Dangling for eternity Life is but a dream A lifetime but a second A moment so it seems For the ones that are left behind The nights are long The sun seems to shine no more And when you think it's just begun You're standing at heavens door People come and people go It always remains the same When dangling for eternity Life is but a dream Written as a tribute to my Grandfather who passed away in September 1985 T.L. DANIEL I HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS AND ALSO MY NEW BOOK "THE LIFETIME CONTINUES
