In this twentieth anniversary edition of her perennial bestseller, Nancy Anderson shows readers how following their passion to find their special niche is the most effective and rewarding approach to business and career success. Work with Passion follows the step-by-step program Anderson implements in her career counseling practice, carefully guiding readers through each stage. The program follows the ten “Passion Secrets” of successful people, and topics include clarifying goals, trusting instincts, doing research, and meeting others who are passionate about their work. "I have found that we love to hear success stories,” Anderson writes, and each chapter tells those powerful stories of people who have overcome adversity and realized their dreams. Work with Passion has a wealth of inspirational guidance, from the broadest kinds of visionary encouragement to very practical tips on networking, developing a resume, and writing a query letter that gets results. This comprehensive course in career counseling is for everyone who would rather brag about their career than complain about their job.

About the author (2012)

Nancy Anderson is a nationally acclaimed career and life consultant and the author of the bestselling career guide Work with Passion: How to Do What You Love for a Living. She was a Regents Scholar at the University of California, where she graduated magna cum laude with an interdisciplinary degree in English and political science. Following graduation in 1976, she helped start a career consulting firm in San Francisco with two partners. Five years later (1981), she started her own business, at which time she wrote Work with Passion, based on her own and her clients' experiences. She has had her own radio show, has participated in numerous radio talk show interviews, has been a regular guest on a San Francisco morning television show, and has appeared in live interviews for CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS. Nancy has spoken to groups such as the Commonwealth Club, the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the Learning Annex, chambers of commerce, and women's organizations such as the National Association of Executive Women, as well as churches and other spirituality-based organizations. Publications as diverse as the New York Post, the San Francisco Chronicle, Female Executive, Working Woman, Inc., Yoga Journal, and Home Arts (an online production of Hearst New Media and Technology) have interviewed her or discussed her book. Today, Nancy uses the process in Work with Passion to guide her clients into jobs and businesses that match their values. She lives and works (with a great deal of passion) in Northern California.
