About the author (2008)

The author is a retired Police Inspector who served between 1960 until 1990 - that was during thetime of the Great Train Robbery of 1963. After his retirement he set up and ran a registered charity to provide support on a one-to-one basis for young people with multiple home-based problems.

Since his retirement he has been aware ofvery mixed public impressions aboutthe Police Service. So to help enlighten the public, hethought he would publish details of his adventures. He sincerely hopes you find the stories interesting, etc.
