Deepest feelings were the great inspirations to write these poems, "Yearning" is about yearning for someone while being with someone else, confused feelings, and feelings of “Yearning” for freedom. All the poems tell of Love, sacrifice, anger, passion, the approach of the end, and loneliness.

About the author (2005)

Lewis and her father admire Mark DeCarteret, a Poet from NH, DeCarteret has been a mentor to her as well. Lewis has often called DeCarteret as grade A Poet, who has inspired her on many levels. Another great source of inspiration is her English Professor Dr. Robert Michael Jackson, who was edited her work once. Unfortunately, the author has lost touch with Jackson since her last class with him.

 

Lewis has studied and lived in NH. The author will be publishing a collection of Haikus, both Contemporary and Abecedarian.  Lewis also plans on releasing more Novels and Short stories.
