About the author (2009)

Jenny Smith is the Head Midwife at leading maternity hospital Queen Charlotte's in London. Passionate about her work, she has a devoted following and has delivered the babies of several celebrity mums. She has won awards for her pioneering work with water births and her specialised fields include high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. Her published work includes medical research and articles for many publications, including the Guardian and pregnancy magazines.
