About the author (1999)

Kay Hooper was born in California on October 30, 1957, and was raised in North Carolina. Her first book, Lady Thief, was published when she was 22-years-old, and she has since written more than 60 novels and four novellas. Hooper mainly writes novels that are in the romance and suspense genres. Her most popular series include The Men of Mysteries Past Series, The Once Upon a Time Series, and The Hagen Series. Her title Hostage made The New York Times Best Seller List in 2013.

Romance author Marilyn Pappano has written about forty books and has received numerous awards including the Maggie Award, Romantic Times magazine's Career Achievement Award, and mulitiple Reviewer's Choice Awards.

Jill Shalvis is a New York Times bestselling writer of over 50 romance novels. She is the author of the Lucky Harbor series, Animal Attraction, Animal Magnetism, and Slow Heat. She has won several awards including the National Readers' Choice award three times. She has also written under the pseudonym Jill Sheldon.

Once upon a time, Donna Kauffman was born in Washington D.C. Alas, there were no glass slippers in her closet, but fate was kind, and a trustworthy (and totally hot) knight did cross her path.
