This book is a wonderful compilation of the origins of coffee - from its discovery to today and from crop to cup, as well as information on grinding, brewing, and enjoying and cupping coffees. Kenneth Davids presents his information in a well-organized and well-written manner, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable and informative read!

About the author (2001)

Kenneth Davids is the author of two other books about coffee, Espresso: Ultimate Coffee and Home Coffee Roasting: Romance and Revival. He teaches writing and history at the California College of Arts and Crafts and writes for a number of coffe industry publications and Websites. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
