I'm a huge fan of this author. I've directed both Faith County and Faith County 2, but found this one a little lacking. Oh, you've got you're typical southern characters in here, but for whatever reason, Mr. Smith decided to add a little "juice" to this play in the form of a stripper (who is pregnant). The scene between her boyfriend and her I found just painfully distasteful. Although still very funny and poignant, I thought that one scene just about ruined the play. I am not aware of any other play by him that contains this type of "humor."
