DEREK ELLEY has written for and edited a wide variety of film publications in the past twenty years, as well as arranging programs for London's National Film Theatre and advising for international festivals. His books include The Epic Film: Myth and History (1984) and Chronicle of the Movies (Ed. 1991). He currently works as a senior editor for Variety.
