This book, although outdated, has good general advice for most subject. The author does state not to bother with goats, but he is greatly mistaken. Dairy goats are much more versatile than cattle. They eat weeds, prune trees, are fun to watch and produce losts of great tasting milk to drink and make cheeses and butter with. You can eat them too. They stand nicely in the milk stand and are easy to manage. I feed the extra milk to the chickens to give them much needed calcium. Try a goat. You will like it. Also, try some of the things you read about in the book. I appreciated the tips on pruning fruit trees.
