About the author (1993)

Gershwin is the first lyricist to be awarded a Pulitzer Prize, and was nominated for three Academy awards. He has contributed over forty scores for Broadway and Hollywood with his brother George and other collaborators.

Kimball was educated at Yale College and Yale Law School. He has been the music critic of the New York Post.
