This book is about 100 pages long. The first 50 pages are about Eli Wodells' genealogy. The second 50 pages Eli uses as a autobiography. Eli has been called both Eli The Genealogist and Eli The Pervert. The actual book is available in the New Bedford Free Public Library New Bedford MA.
There are many spellings of the name WODELL including but not limited to WODELL, WORDELL, WADELL, WARDELL. Eli was upset that people were changing the spelling of his surname. Even his children were adding an R to his surname with good reason I might add. You have to read the second half of the book to find out why. One hint until that upstart Lizzy Borden came along, Eli was the most famous murderer in Fall River MA. (he wasn't convicted either).
All things considered there is alot of genealogy in this book. Well worth the look.
