The second novel in the Tackett Trilogy. The most corrupt politician in town was after Liddy's stake in a Colorado gold mine and nothing would keep him from it--not a forced marriage, not murder, and certainly not Del Tackett. But Tackett had vowed to protect Liddy and to take her to the threatened mine. The road was dangerous, but its danger couldn't compare to what awaited them in Denver.
