I Did not read the Whole book. I was interested in page 57-58 on the change of the Sabbath.
Although it refers to the third commandment in most bibles its the forth commandment.
But the Ideas
put forth on the Change of the Sabbath From the 7th day of the week to the 1st day of the week is what the SDA church teaches how it happened. There is no commandment in the Bible to worship on Sunday but most protestants do worship on Sunday paying tribute to those that change it to Sunday. So what do we do with the Bible verse: Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. and Mt 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. transferring sacredness from one day to another is changing the law.
By the Governors of the Church, the Apostles, who also kept it; for St. John was in Spirit on the Lord's Day, (which was Sunday.) Apoc. i. 10. The phrase "Lord's Day" is seldom used in the Bible and does not mean the 1st day of the week.
The "Church" beleves it has the power to change Gods Law and did change it.
Q. How prove you that the Church hath power to command feasts and holydays?
A. By the very act of changing the sabbath into Sunday, which Protestants allow of; and therefore they fondly contradict themselves, by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same Church.
Q. How prove you that?
A. Because by keeping Sunday, they acknowledge the Church's power to ordain feasts, and to command them under sin: and by not keeping the rest by her commanded, they again deny, in fact, the same power.
SDA believes the 7th day is and always will be the Sabbath. God and God's law can not be changed,
This is my thoughts and why I read part of the book.
