Aberration and Optical Design Theory,This book is the first English translation of Professor Slyusarev's classic Russian text on the design of optical systems. In it, he treats at length certain topics which have only rarely been dealt with in the Western literature, if at all. These include anamorphotic systems, thermal effects and manufacturing tolerances. Also discussed are the methods of using computers in the design of optical systems. The treatment is essentially theoretical, but practical examples are given where appropriate. |
