Sandra Arant is a bipolar disorder survivor. The condition ? characterized by mania, depression, anxiety and paranoia ? has taken a profound toll on her. It has jeopardized her family, her friends, her relationships, her livelihood, her health and even her life. In very personal terms and succinct moving illustrations she describes a first-hand account of what it is truly like to be bipolar, in the hope that those who are fortunate enough to not be afflicted with this condition can better understand those who are. Also, by revealing her inner journey, she reaches out to those who suffer with this condition in the hope of conveying the message that they are not alone in their struggle and that medications and coping mechanisms are available to help them in this difficult and dangerous journey of the mind, body, heart and soul.
