Bonds of Fate is the second book in the Samuel Buckland Chronicles. Sam is the Keeper of the Keys of Solomon on Earth, and this gives him control over demons and other earthly creatures. Sam spends a lot of time doing God's work and is mentally exhausted. His secretary encourages him to take a vacation, and he decides to take a trip to Jerusalem, along with Sara, his adopted daughter. On the plane, Sam sees angels suddenly begin to burn and fall from the skies, crashing down to Earth. It is now up to Sam, and a few unlikely allies, to help save Heaven from destruction.
