The Guidance Nursery School: A Gesell Institute Book for Teachers and ParentsThis school at Yale was one of the many so- called laboratory schools set up throughout the United States at various universities in connection with depts. of child psychology or child development. In addition to providing school facilities for the children, they allowed the opportunity for study of child behaviour in a normal setting by students and staff. The book gives a fair description of the Gesell school as it existed at Yale until 1950, and thereafter at the Gesell Institute of Child Development. |
