Tired. Very tired. If it wasn't for my OCD that forces me to see something (including a worn out series) to the end, I would have quit these around book 10. I keep hoping that there will be a twist, a character development, some forward movement but nope - some old thing.
At the end of this book was a preview of Wicked Business - I read it and wow, it's exactly like the Plum series; seriously, same exact thing just with Diesel and Lizzy and of course, Carl the Monkey (all of which also were in the Plum series).
Janet is either very delusional and thinks we want to keep reading the same thing over and over or she's completely run out of imagination or her publisher is forcing her into staying in this stagnant rut. Either way, I BEG of them to bring some fresh material for the next one. I think she might be the first author to break me of my OCD 'cause I seriously don't think I can handle another Plum novel of the same pace.

This is #18 in the series, but my friend gave me it to read anyway. I understood it without reading any of the others. I can't recommend it because it has a lot of swearing, but I sure laughed a lot!!! It's about white trash bounty hunters - very colorful characters! Read full review

Ohmigosh...it's Janet Evanovich...it's Stephanie Plum...it's Lula. I laughed out loud and reveled in the sheer fun of spending a little time with Ranger and Morelli and at funerals with Stephanie's grandma. Thank you, Janet E., for brightening up my last days of summer. Read full review

I needed a quick, light read, perfect for getting my mind off of the present troubles in my life - and I got it, in this novel. The usual problems abound, nothing changes, and some scenes seem ... Read full review
