About the author (1999)

John T. Zwemer lives in Social Circle, Georgia, where he teaches high school history, government, and economics. He received the outstanding history teacher award in 1996 from the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Jefferson Davis Medallion in 1997 from the United Daughters of the Confederacy. He is a contributor to America's Civil War magazine.
