Among the most mysterious of sacred objects turning up around the world are carved crystal skulls often used in Mayan rites . Patricia Mercier embarked on a quest to unlock their secrets, and has produced a spine-tingling saga of sacred ceremonies, armed holdups, inner journeys, and weirdly cosmological stacks of tortillas that spans the globe. Along the way, Patricia explains Mayan traditions, reveals the healing properties of these skulls, and details the new superconsciousness within humanity's grasp--an evolutionary rebirth possible only through these skulls.

About the author (2011)

Patricia Mercier is a writer, visionary artist, crystal healer, yoga teacher, and shamanic healer who lives in Spain and has travelled widely in Central America. In 1995, she encountered her first crystal skull during a ceremony at Uxmal, Mexico, and since then has been initiated by Mayan priests and elders to become a teacher of the Mayan mysteries. At the invitation of the Mayan elder Hunbatz Men of the Itza Maya Tradition, she co-founded a Maya Mysteries School with her husband. The school is active in both Spain and the UK, and three of her previous five books, The Maya Shamans--Travellers in Time, The Maya End Times, and The Chakra Bible, are used as teaching tools.
