Just read this damn book! Especially if you are in the medical field or take prescription medications and according to the book that is everyone. The first paragraph sets the tone of the entire book and it starts a critical thinking fire to the medical industry. Read full review

About the author (2008)

Ray Moynihan has been covering the business of health care for more than a decade with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the Australian Financial Review, and the British Medical Journal. He is an award-winning journalist and the author of three previous books, including Selling Sickness, which has been translated into a dozen languages.

Alan Cassels is a drug policy researcher at the University of Victoria, in British Columbia. He has produced several full-length feature documentaries for CBC Ideas, including “Manufacturing Patients,” which deals with the subject of selling sickness.
