I read this book from cover to cover. It is a very informative book and tells me a lot about the early 19th Century and part of the 20th Century. There is a lot of history in this book and I particularly love it because John O. Johnson was my Uncle and I loved him along with my whole family. To me, it reads like a dime novel. I don't want to put it down when I am reading it. I would ask anyone interested in the history of White Bear Lake, MN or boats to buy it and read it if you can.
