America's first railroad gained its reputation with a flair for aesthetic touches and passenger trains like the Capitol Limited connecting Baltimore to New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, Chicago, Cincinati, and St. Louis. This retrospective spans the B&O's entire history from 1828 through its absorption by CSX Transportation. Modern and period color photography and rare archival imagery depict memorabilia, promo materials, and the trains themselves. Detailed information on company history, trains, passenger cars, and rolling stock make this an ideal reference for B&O enthusiasts and modelers.
