On occasion there is absolutely no substitute for a table of pertinent, meaningful demographic data. All too often, I've found the there just ain't such a critter anywhere around. I was delighted to find this title on Google. the tables are, of course, compiled from decennial census data, and probably will be of limited utility if your interest is smaller than a metropolitan statistical area or county, but longitudinal information on income, wealth, family and occupational demographics probably can't be found elsewhere. If you need this type of data (or if you're teaching folks who might need it), remember this text. If we loose this kind of text (all too possible), we will all be the poorer.
