About the author (2008)

Terry Marsh is an award-winning freelance travel writer and photographer, and, since starting to write professionally in 1980 author of 60 plus books. His areas of interest include the UK, Ireland, France, Denmark, Madeira, the Azores and Australia. He is a writer on many topics, including the countryside, walking, independent and family travel, food and drink. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Lake District Studies, and is currently undertaking research leading to a PhD in Historical geography.
