I loved this book! It really opened my eyes to better understand the Sioux culture and way of life before the "whites" came and eradicated all that was valued. I always knew that the Native Americans were treated unfairly but this book is written from the perspective of someone who experienced the hardships and wars that were unjust. It also propelled me to investigate further into Native American religion and the ghost dance movement. I think this book should be required to read in all US high schools. This is such a beautiful and powerful story!
