About the author (2008)

STEPHEN WHITE is Professor of International Politics at the University of Glasgow, UK, and a Senior Research Associate of its School of Slavonic and East European Studies. He is the chief editor of the Journal of Communist Studies and Transition Politics, and author or co-author of more than thirty books including Developments in Central and East European Politics 4, Developments in Russian Politics 6, Putins Russia and the Enlarged Europe, and Party Politics in New Democracies.
