This is a spiritual book written by a pastor. In case you wonder, yes I’m a Christian and I especially recommend Christian teenagers to read this book. Here’s why.
This book gives clear reminders
about living with purpose as a Christian. The paramount thing is to trust God’s unique plan for each of us and to follow His lead no matter what. It reminds me that we should not rely in our own power but instead, pray and seek for God’s guidance.
Furthermore, it gives practical guidance in applying God’s Word in our daily lives. This includes clear steps in growing spiritual fruits. It reminds me that the fruit of spirit will be produced in us only if we fully trust Him with our lives, which most people prefer to rely on themselves. As an example, it explained why Christians have the spiritual fruit of Joy. We are joyful not because of the absence of suffering, but the presence God. In short words, it is the hope we have in Christ that makes us rejoice. No matter how problems can frustrate us, we should stand strong because no problem is too big for God. “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalms 46:1)
Not clear of your purpose of living? Not sure how to pray in different situations? This is the book that you are missing in your spiritual life!
