This second volume in the revision of the much acclaimed series considers three main aspects of general interest: important practical problems in the development of data-banks, recent applications in electroencephalography of techniques developed in the area of artificial intelligence, and methods of processing and analysing EEG signals. Furthermore the volume describes in greater detail a number of special areas of computer applications which have reached an important stage of development: long-term EEG monitoring; clinical applications namely in epilepsy, cerebral ischemia and metabolic disorders; event-related potentials; psychoneuropharmacology; and electromyography.
